SOO Line Alco by C. Richard Neumiller, a native of Peoria, Illinois. He took his first railroad slides at the Chicago Railroad Fair in 1950. His photographic activity increased while at Knox College in Galesburg, where he graduated in 1953. He served on the Peoria city council from 1973 to 1984 and as mayor of Peoria in 1984-85. He retired from the Central Illinois Light Co. in 1996. Dick passed away January 2, 2015. The Peoria Journal Star:Article, Editorial, Obituary

MP36PH Locomotive # 425 has undergone a rehabilitation by Metra. The Red and Yellow color scheme was designed by Philip Weibler back in 1969.
Locomotive #425 will be placed in service this week on the Rock Island Line in honor of retiring CEO/Executive Director Don Orseno.
